First cohort of Lab Corps program extols its benefits
When you listen to the Argonne researchers who have participated in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) new Lab-Corps program talk about their respective experiences, two themes come up over and over.
One, they say the program taught them a new set of skills and gave them a new point of view on their work.
Two, they are happy they participated in Lab-Corps and believe the lessons they learned will serve them well on multiple levels for the rest of their careers.
Managed by DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Lab-Corps was started in October 2014 to accelerate the transfer of innovative clean-energy technologies from the DOE’s national laboratories to the commercial marketplace.
